Project Description​

 

Our students wanted to learn more about the environment that surrounds them. They researched all different kinds of sea animals, got expert opinions, and learned how to better protect ocean animals. During this project, the students became researchers, authors, collaborators, investigators, artists, and scientists.

Students published individual non fiction ocean animal books, created art mosaics from microplatics and trash found on the beach, sewed their sea animal, created numerous illustrations of all kinds of sea animals

Reflections (student and teacher)

 

Watching the students grow as investigators and learn how to locate information by themselves has been rewarding. They learned how to be more aware of their choices and how their choices impact the ocean.
